Can I reserve a fiber lot bay before I have a loom booking?
Yes. A bay reservation stands on its own, and many clients hold a grade for several months before they book loom time. The reservation records the grade, intake weight and review cycle, and it can be converted into a full dispatch once a schedule is agreed. Holding a grade without a booking carries a small storage fee that is credited against the first shipment.
What happens if a scouring batch fails its moisture reading?
The batch is held on the racks for a further drying period and re-read the next working day. If it still sits outside the agreed window, the client is told before the batch moves on, and the loft either re-scours the affected weight at no charge or issues a revised batch slip with the corrected reading and a note on the cause.
Can I visit the Glenealy office to handle sample hanks?
Yes, by appointment. Tell the desk which grades interest you and when you plan to arrive, and we will hang matching hanks in daylight ahead of the visit. Visits usually run forty minutes and cover the sample window, the bay floor and the booking desk in one sequence.
